I'm in the same position as you are,I've tried everything from redownloading 3 times to trying to submit bug reports...no change....very frustrating !
It's been 10 days since updating and the problem with connecting to the Game Server persists,I'm giving the engineers 5 more days to rectify this problem, which after speaking to Tech Support they are fully aware of....failing which I'll cancell my 3 accounts and pertition other Mac users who are experiencing this don't care attitude from The Pirates of the Caribbean (Game of the Year) team,to do exactly the same.I believe that these updates should have been fully tested and retested on all systems, before updating the game!
