It took me about 4 hours of total game time. When I realized I wasn't really going to get anywhere as a basic member, I ponied up the dough, and have been a plundering fool ever since. I have enjoyed the quests and I like working toward mastering all the weapons. I also can't help the urge to get to level 40. Lets just say I am a wee bit goal orientated.
