If you can take the Corvette between the east side of Tormenta, and the west side of Kingshead, then you should definitely be able to see the respawn on camera.
I guess it'll take me a while to track everything down again. Between the beginning of February and the end of March I logged about 8 hours worth of sailing where I did nothing but watch respawn patterns, find the dead spots on the oceans, and tail flagships to watch them sail their full route. I just haven't had the chance to play that much since the 30 April updates happened.
