As I was sailing to investigate the new islands, a 28 spanish warsloop spawned off my port side. I instantly hit it with abroadside and all cannons hit its starboard side and barely dented it.
It hit me with a broadside of firebrands as well as 3 lightning shots and took me warfrigate to half life :O
as it showed its backside to me I manned the cannon while my broadside was recharging, as I can usually take out sloops before they turn around on the cannon... but my cannoneering was barely scratching it as well. As it came back around I tried to avoid its broadside and failed miserably... Broadside number 2 sent me to the bottom.
Be very very careful if you see them :P
I'm looking forward to seeing how tough their land units are!
