It's best to play in a group of 3, doing it in this manner: one person, after winning, must drop out, if they so feel they may be inclined to cheat as such in the future. The other two, the enablers of the pot, stay in for the next round and reveal their hands to each other. As soon as possible, the one who left is to get back in and join.
You see, if you cheat, you can use (if you have them) the cards in your oppoent's hand if they'd help you. Then, they can build up a pot, and drop, or, to save you some time, just drop. As well, you can see another player, limit further what hands your opponent could have, and so on.
The best way to cheat thus is to not do it personally.
