So I stand by what I said, an entire ship and it's crew at the time should be reportable for bad behavior. Period.

To report a "ship" it would ultimately have to report all of the individuals on it (no way of singling out the actual offending person). With the random crewing, etc the game has built in, theres no way to guarantee you wont have a crew that misbehaves, or that you wont be joining a ship with questionable motives. Being responsible for other peoples actions when I am not given ultimate control over them (such as in a military situation) is not my idea of fair or fun. No walk the plank function yet!!!
Perhaps they need to make it easier to report a person on a ship, but I dont think making the ships reportable is the answer, maybe allow you to click a ship, get list of crew, pick a crewmate/captain to report, perhaps with an all of the above option. Ships arent rude, people are.
They likely have little means of determining exactly what was taking place upon receiving a report as well. Conversation is logged, however I do not believe the in game activity/actions are. Im sure this is tied to a rude behavior report for example... 'what was being said'. In this situation im guessing there was no verbal interaction, other than your perhaps attempting to ask them to leave ye be.
If this had happened to me, and I have had similar situations occur. I have always been able to 'lose' the ship either by sailing from the area, landing and tp'ing to somewhere else to relaunch, or landing and changing servers before I relaunch. Perhaps I shouldnt have to be the one to 'move' if im not the one being rude, but its a simpler solution, as its going to happen, and they likely dont consider it being rude. Who's to say POTCO will?
