Since the 11.4 update and making the boss harder - I only know of two ways which to get the Boss...

1) A Low Number of players (5-6 Pirates) - High Level Crew where the driver has done the Battle and has Master Sail and Take Cover. After the troops, the others take the left side and target the Left Bridge, the Right Bidge and then the Center (the center only shoots 2 Cannons, the Left / Right shoot 4 so focus on them first, all while the driver uses Take Cover and Master Sail to recharge it again.

The driver then "Back Inches" the left side of the First Bridge (once Drivers skills have recharged) - this is where you actually back the Pearl up to the bridge, basically turn it sideways, then 'tap it backwards' through the bridge opening until the Left Tower of the next bridge starts to fire - STOP! The right one though active will not fire - begin taking out the Left as SOON as the Left Brige starts shooting (not before - no damage will record until it takes the first shot). Proceed to do this with the other bridges - the last one fires both sides usually no matter what so you have to get those two last ones quickly. Then do Goliath as normal (Left side, run past him and in front while shooting...)

2) Large Crew (9-12 Pirates) - High Level Crew where the driver has done the Battle and has Master Sail and Take Cover. This all about brute force... once soliders are done drive left taking bridges as described above... except driver wil actually drive through (not back through) bridges leaving it up to the Large Crew to take each side as you proceed... do the Goliath as always

Thats all I can tell ya from testing and experience
