I sail solo a lot. My technique is to sail as close as I can to the
area that the ships are circling in without attracting any other ships.
Then I hop off the helm and use a deck gun to hit the ship I need.
It will usually start heading for you. Once it sails close enough ,I get
back on the helm and do a running fight away from the other ships.
With the new system on test, this takes a while, but I can usually beat
just about any ship this way.
