Steely Jim is scurvy dog
I will miss the good discussions most of all. Personally, I never felt restricted here on these forums, or in the game really. I've don't a lot of different Beta tests, and a few Alphas; it has been my experience that either the creators have to enhance RP'ing over grinding, or the Beta testers have to set it in place before the game opens to the wider public. Of course, even then some games are too hardcore for me towards the RP end (Illarion comes to mind as a game that was just too RP-intensive for the limited time that I wanted to spend on it.

I actually think that these forums would have been a pretty good place to make my stand because most of the active posters are adults, but time caught up with me.

I had only played about 8 times in the last 10 weeks, so I was already pulling back; I just realized that I absolutely could not bear the thought of logging in to do any grinding, and I couldn't really see anything else to do. I definitely think the game will grow quite a bit; but, yeah, I suppose it will always be one of the "younger" games out there.

It really does just come down to having nothing to do that really interests me to keep me occupied while waiting for something I do want to do to come together. I just came to realize that, to work things out on a faster timetable, I'm going to need more traffic...to find my needles in the haystack, I'm gong to need an insane amount of traffic. In that sense, it is really a numbers game.

We only have 11,138 members here, with only .55 threads per member & 4.7 posts per member (8.6 posts per thread) all spread across 89 forums & subforums; in comparison, just 1 out of several high-traffic fansite forums from the main game I've played over the last 6.5 years, has 167,108 members, with 1.15 threads per member, 16.4 posts per member & 14.2 posts per thread, spread over only 42 forums & subforums. It really just comes down to needing more, and more consolidated, traffic.
