I think they need to put more opportunities to gain skill points in the quests. Maybe some integrated story-line training sessions like the one we initially got for the "sweep" cutlass skill.
I think the games needs some balancing so it doesn't become an repetitive boring slash & boom fest as people try to keep their weapons leveled. There ought to be other ways to get skills, that are more interesting to do... in my opinion.

I second that. I am only about 70% or so through the pearl quest, and I'm a level 32. All of my weapons including staff are either level 16 or 17, my cannons are level 19 and my sailing is level 22. I have to say as fun as this game seemed initially, and as much as I enjoy logging in to play and chat with my friends and fellow guild members, this game is starting to become quite boring for me. I feel like all I do is quest and try to level my weapons. Take grenades for instance. At first I leveled them at Kingshead. After a while though, it gets hard to level them, and the only way I have to level them easily now is by throwing them at ships while at sea. I certainly agree that we need more ways/opportunities, even within quests, to level up our skills. As much as I like playing alongside friends and guild mates, if some improvements and new features are not added soon, I may look elsewhere for an mmorpg experience.
Good hunting and fair winds to all of you.
