Rewarded Reps are divided amongst the weapons used based on the level of thier participation in the battle.
Simply put, if you kill an enemy, and took 50% of its health with dagger, and then the other 50% of its health with cutlass, and you received 100 pts. Each weapon should have been rewarded roughly 50 pts credit.
Now that is just a basic way of looking at it, and not exact, because each weapon, and the skills used with that weapon, will vary the VALUE of the attacks used. Using 10 dagger attacks to take an enemies health down to 50%, may not be as valued by the game as 10 attacks with your cutlass to finish it off (or vica versa), this will cause the distribution to vary, and not be evenly divided as in my 'basic' description at the start.
Mixing up the weapons you use is a decent way to try to spread out leveling up your weapons.
A weapon theoretically can reward 100 pts per enemy, if you can use enough attacks from that weapon.
Due to this, theoretically, you can also get more than 100 pts per enemy, if you use more than one weapon.
If you can hit the enemy with the required number of attacks to receive 100pts with each weapon, you can get actually (in theory) up to 600reps for one enemy (provided you get enough attacks from each of your 6 possible weapons). This would give you 100reps 'per' weapon, which would be applied to each weapons experience.
Crew bonus's would of course increase reps further.
