We were both in the same "instance", infact we were on the same island.
I'm hoping it works like Toontown where you don't have to be in the same world because you'll teleport to that person no matter if you're in the same world or not. You will just receive a notification stating that that person is in a different world and be asked if you still wish to go to them. Because, currently, I've no problem chatting, but whispering only allows me to use the speed chat, which has nothing that states which world you're currently in.
