Well...the thread would have to have an eye-catching appearance--only to grab the guild hunter's attention, then explain the guild itself, rules, purpose, all that in detail while keeping the good appearance up at the same time.
Try to establish a guild site, it gives people something extra to look forward to in the guild other than in the game, also as a form of showing different guild features such as screenshots, event planners, etc, etc.
If you're looking for members in game, I wouldn't hunt in Abassa, the people there mainly won't last 5 minutes in the guild---they either quit right away or misbehave. Try asking friends or friends of friends, that works better.
