A load of suggestions to POTCO
Hello Everyone. I've had quite a few ideas about POTCO since I started playing, just thogh I'd share them with you.
Section 1- Levels
Section 2- Weapons
Section 3- Ships
Section 4- Enemies
Section 5- Guild System
1. Levels
Mastering your pirate at 40 seems to leave it at a hanging point. Level 25 for wepons is okay, but that could be raised to 30 if the noteriety cap was raised to 50. Still, that wouldn't pose much of a challenge for fully mastered pirates. Truthfully, I'd prefer if the noteriety cap were raised all the way to 100 and the weapons cap being raised to 75. That being said, leveling weapons is already tedious(especially grenades), so there'd need to be a way to level other than just slashing away at enemies all day. PVP and SVS would be good ways, if the rep calculation were the same as for normal enemies.
2. Weapons
WEapons are the things in need of least revision. Still, I have ideas for them. First thing is redistribution of skill points. Paying 2000 gold to gypsy for each skill point you want to redistribute doesn't seem that bad. Take hex eater shot, for example. It's useful to level your weapons till your fully mastered. After that, it isn't as useful and you might want a few points back from it.
The next thing I'd like to see customizable weapons. YOu would be able to obtain these once you've master a weapon. A blacksmith or a gypsy could make a custom weapon for you, for a moderate fee. A little chart on prices:
Blades:
DIamond- 10,000 gold
Ruby and Saphhire- 7,000 Gold
Jade- 7,500 Gold
Emerald- 5,000 gold
HAndles:
Diamond- 7,500 Gold
ruby and Saphhire- 5,000
Jade- 7,500 GOld
Emerald- 3,000 Gold
Another idea I had is dual- wielding weapons. Once you master a weapon, say dagger for example, you would get training for dual wield. There are seperate skills for dual- wield, too. However, you would not have to relevel to 70 all over again. Only to 50. Once you max dual-wield, you can get a another custom weapon, too. Same prices as above.
3.Ships
The ships are okay for the most part. The only suggestion i have here is customizable ships. Rather than starting from a known ships base, I would prefer to start from scratch. Here's a chart on costs.
Hull types= Wood- 7,500 each, Iron- 15,000 each, Steel- 25,000 each; Limit= 100
Cannon types= Single barrel- 5000 each, Double barrel- 7,500 each, Tri barrel- 12,500 each; Limit= 20 per hull
Mast types= Wood- 10,000 each, Iron- 15,000 each, Steel- 20,000 each; Limit- 5 per hull (you need at least three to hull to get it to move.)
Broadsides types(one pair)= Round shot- 10,000 each, Firebrand- 25,000 each, Lightning and Fury- 50,000 each, Explosive 75,000 each; Limit- 20 per hull
Flags(must be approved be Disney first, so there's no inappropriate words)= 2,500 each; Limit- 3 per mast
Few things to note: You can have a different combo of broadsides on your ship. You could have each one on every hull! To get flags on your ship, you must go to a tailor and make one there or upload an image that you already have(also at tailor's). The gold cap would have to infinte for these ideas to work, too.
4. Enemies
What I have noticed is that there are no enemies useing the staff(other than PVP). This could pose a challenge to many players, considering the staff's awesome power. True, the damage would have to downed A LOT, it still would be a challenge. Also, it would allow more quest to put in the game with these enemies.
5. Guild System
The guild system needs lots of changing. First thing is guild announcements. It would be really nice to give out an announcement for something rather saying it to every person over and over again. Makes things A LOT more efficent(sp?).
The next thing is different ranks. A chart will explain most of it, yet again:
Co GM- Is appointed by the original GM. They have 40% leadership of the guild whil the original GM has 60%. Promotions and demotions must go through both of them to be instated. The Co- GM can send out guild announcements.
Vice GM/ CO Vice GMs- Are/ Is appointed by the Guildmaster(s). The Co GMship is split 60-40,. the one who is 60% will take GM ship first. The other one next. This is only the case for Co- vice GMs. They can send out guild announcements. They can promote or demote everybody except the high officer and GMs, but they both msut agree.
High Officer- Appointed by the GMs. They can send out guild announcements and promote or demote anybody except the GMs and vice GMs. Only 1 person can fill this spot. They will fill in wherever they are needed. For example, if one of the Co Guildmasters is gone and the first Vice GM takes over, the High Officer will be a Vice Co- Guildmaster since one of them is filling the Co -Gm spot.
The next thing I think would be good is a Guild Bank. PLayers that are in the guild can donate for the guild bank. Useing this money, guilds can buy customized monster ships that sport their guild flag. These ships are also flagships, so you won't go down just by damage. These ships can only be used for plunder parties and PVP War. Each guild can have 10 monster ships. They can also buy furniture for their guild mansion using the guild bank, which is where the players in the guild can keep extra ships and ammo. It's also a place for guildees to hang out. Each player would get 5 rooms that they would have to pay for by themselves to decorate. The guild mansion's lobby furniture comes from the guild pool, though. YOur guild can also pay money to enlarge the mansion or remodel it in any way.The guild bank does not have a limit for money.

7. PVP and SVS
FOr PVP and SVS, I really think that there should be a way that matches levels better. For that, the 10 'P' servers and the 10 'S' servers would serve for them respecively. The first server would be levels 1-10, and then 11-20, 21- 30, 31- 40, 41- 50, 51- 60, 61- 70, 71- 80, 81- 90, and last but not least, 91-100. This would make battles much more fair.
The next thing is an idea I call 'PVP War'. In this, guilds would face off against each other, but with the whole map as their battlefield. There could be snipers throwing siege bombs, mass destruction with the voodoo staff, and such. There would be healers that would heal with their dolls, and docs that would bring tonics for those who needed them. Also, before the war started, there would be a preset wager, like 200,000 coins from the gold bank. The same thing can be done for SVS, where you can use your guilds monster ships.
