For anyone moving from POTCO to Burning Sea, we have most of our guild (Blades of Daring) now playing that game, with a few more stagglers coming soon. So if you're looking to reconnect with some POTCO players, feel free to drop me a tell in game or send me a mail, Kathrynne Merivel - I rolled British FT on Antigua. If you're looking for a Society to join, all POTCO emigres are welcome

or if you just want some help in the game we're here.
Also, if anyone is curious about checking out the game but is a little deterred by the purchase of the actual game plus the $15 a month price tag, I have some buddy keys that I don't mind sharing with POTCO players. That will give you 14 free days, plus the 30 free you get for buying the game. All I can say is that the game is unbelievable, although there are having some small problems with people complaining about the population imbalance right now on the various servers. Your server selection is really important. For instance, if you're a US player, make sure that you choose a US Server (Antigua, Rackham, Blackbeard) and European players are mainly on Roberts. Although at the moment, Antigua is the hot spot and Blades of Daring all just transferred from Roberts to Ant and we've found a nice new home. Antigua has the best balance of players right now compared to the other servers, so just keep this in mind when rolling your character. US players should generally stick with the US Servers simply for when it comes time to actually playing during your normal hours, people will actually be on and playing. When we were on the European server, it was dead since our prime time is in the middle of the night for them. Then, when you actually do something that effects the all the nations (such as grinding ports for unrest and all that, Port Battles, etc) the Europeans whine that it's not fair since they're all sleeping and can't defend their ports, blah blah blah, they call this night flipping. Which, I understood, which is part of the reason why we all switched It's a pain to hear them moan about it, so my advice is to just skip the messiness and go where the people are.
If anyone has any questions about the game, feel free to contact me.
