Is that a serious post?

Firstly, and I'm not starting a flame war here, but didn't Pirates -just- get privateering as the added content for their "big summer update"? That's an entire class in Burning Sea. And please don't try and tell me that Disney has cornered the market on ship battles and sword fights and pistols - no other game has this sort of content? Also...Pirates? I doubt that POTCO was the first game to have these. Sid Meier anyone? And I really hate to spoil the party here, but neither Burning Sea nor Pirates were the first game to have guilds or levels. There is no exclusive copy write on any of the points that you mentioned.

Excuse the sarcasm or don't. The games share similar content, that much is true. But to say that one stole from the other, or vice versa, is ridiculous. But, and I'll own up to a mistake when I make one, POTCO did in fact launch two months before Burning Sea did. But I seriously doubt that they altered their content to compete simply because one game came out first. I truly think that both games appeal to two different types of gamers - one is more so geared for younger gamers(hence the 10+ rating) and the other is rated T for older players. They knew their target audiences, with some switches here and there - younger players playing Burning Sea and adults playing POTCO. But I just don't believe that either game has stolen or will steal from the other in the future. Again, similar content worked in two completely different ways. Before you pass judgment on Burning Sea for stealing, perhaps you should try it first and see just how truly different it is.
