"Initial" feedback, in this case is different from "good" feedback. :-) Its one thing to have a learning curve; something entirely different to throw out the accepted rules of engagement that people (obviously) expect. They probably shouldn't have caved in so quickly on that one.

Where you hit is alot more important with SvS, keep hitting the same spot, your damage increases.

Another difference: In regular sailing, going backwards used to be quite slow (like 1/10th the speed of going forward.) In SvS sailing, going backwards while turning is just as fast (or faster?) as going forward and turning.
Yet another difference: Full sail and ramming speed now HALT your boat for two seconds before giving that "burst of speed." (They did at least change regular sailing to match SvS for full sail, so I can't complain about that one - only point out that it is a new two-second delay.)
Another difference: repairs. (Shouldn't be in SvS at all - should be in regular sailing. 'nuff said.)
With the exception of the lockups, I'm starting to mellow out on the differences. The way they have repair-while-sailing now (about 30% of boats using it on busy servers) is just wrong. Everyone should have the ability to repair all the time. Repairs while being attacked, should be very slow.
If they can fix the lockups
