For a signture stamp (one you don't have to put in every post yourself) you do have to get a Subscription - Located under your UserCP in the menu under miscellaneous (the link to it is also below)

There are multiple options (like just a signature) or full blown packages (like 5000 PM Mailbox, 50MB Pic Storage, the works) so be sure to at least look over the list.
