I have ridden the first and original POTC ride at Disneyland about 200 times in my lifetime.
It was by far my favorite ride at Disneyland LOOOOONG before any movie script was written.
It used to be the most popular and longest line, but as the years went by and Disneyland put in newer rides, much to MY pleasure, that line dwindled and its not hard, or a long wait to get on usually. I havent been in sometime now, so with the popularity of the movies that may have changed.
I also remember it was always a "cool" ride to get on on those hot summer days.
When I see the movies...
I catch most of thier "bits" from the ride they throw into the movies.
