Hi, I am new to POTCO, well over 2X your age limit. Only been playing for a week; switched to unlimited after two days and still love the game. My guy is Level 18 with skills between 8 and 12 for everything... Dagger is only 8 but working on it; love sailing and cannons. I have received several blind invites and have always ignored them; simply because I do not have a good understanding of how guilds work yet.
Eventually, a very very friendly/good player invited me to join her guild and I accepted; she was awesome. It is a very active guild and I had a blast the first night playing with a bunch of experienced players - mostly officers of the guild. The second night, perhaps it is all in the timing, I logged in during a "heated exchange" between several players, in fact I was somewhat disappointed about the conversations the players were having, the bickering, the immature insults, the constant "shut-up"/"no, you shut-up" comments. Eventually the exchange died down. I don't know how it started but I was very happy when it ended.
Having reviewed some of the comments that flew across my screen, I think I should look for a more mature guild where people play nice with each other, treat each other with respect and understand that calling each other names is an act of immature bullies.
