Anyway, while I don't believe that all newspapers/news sources(FOX!) are not reliable, I do believe many including, I feel, the New York Times are usually very well-written, true, and have very little bias(though not compleatly free of it). However, when dealing with issues and statisitics that are not related to politics, religion, or anything controversal in the news, you can be pretty sure that it's not made up.
In my experince, through the many newspapers/news sources I looked at, the New York Times was on of the few that was almost always true/rarely biased, and a newspaper if there ever was one that you can trust.
