POTCO Devs may be using the routine in a similar way for the game. Like to generate the in-game toons. I don't know...farting in the dark here.
Perhaps...just perhaps...the OpenGL settings have to be set to 'Use application settings' and turn off the Triple Buffering and Force 24-bit Z Buffer. Surely your graphic card has a utility that allows you to set user-defined profiles...name one POTCO and change things around?
I know those other games run fine but remember that this game is in beta. I am sure those games had similar problems when they were being developed too.
