Wow - sounds like a horrible bug - I assume you have reported and complained? I have 2 old pirates (before 18 May mishap) and 2 newer ones - taking out enemies, regardless of what, at a higher level than me always raises my morale - at least a tiny bit - strange bug that makes yours go down. Have you made a new priate and is this a problem with them? Your research seems very complete and I do hope you have reported it with coordinates and screenshots and all. If one person is having this trouble, then others out there (maybe not aware of this forum) are having the same trouble - best of luck mate!
