Ahoy partners.

Some of you may know already, but for those of you who do not, I ask that you stop for just a moment to read this.

Just a little while ago, Andrew, who has served our guild longer than I have and has showed committment and dedication to all of us, found out that his mother had undergone a seizure. She is now in the Emergency room; though breathing steadily she is unable to respond to or in the form of words. The news was a complete shock to all of us, but most notably to Andrew and his family.

The times ahead will be tough for Andrew and his family. The days and weeks ahead of them will be plagued with uncertainty, but what they must know is that behind them stands another family - a family of 200 ever-loyal, loving pirates who want nothing more than to make sure our mate feels comfortable and loved.

It's times like these where the true committment of a guild is put to the test. Many would simply turn their heads away or slip a silent prayer - but, not our guild. Through the trials and tests that life has given us all we have managed to be there for one another thick and thin, and now it is another time where we must take action to show our love and support.

We may have never met Andrew's mother, or even Andrew is person, but they are still a part of our universal family. As a sign of your support for our extended family, I ask that all of you please consider taking down your avatars for a time, and instead putting in it's place a simple heart, which has become the symbol of our love for one another in day-to-day function:



Though it may not be much, it will go a long way in showing how strong we are as a guild; and more importantly, as a family.

So tonight, mates, I ask you all say a little prayer for Andrew's mother; pray for the betterment of her condition, and smooth waters for Andrew's family from here.
