A Caribbean Celebration
June 19 2008   A recent shipment of goods from Europe has brought rumor of an interesting new invention -- fireworks! Legend has it that in addition to gunpowder, the pirates of the Far East invented these devices, which fill the skies with bright cascades of spark and light. Celebrate with us July 3rd (starting around 6PM PT) until July 6th - in honor of the arrival of this new invention to the Caribbean. Fireworks start once stars light up the night sky. To watch them, find a spot on or near the shores of Port Royal, Tortuga, or Padres Del Fuego and enjoy the show!

I don't really know what to expect, it starts on the night of my guild meeting and I'm not sure what to plan.. Does anyone know if it's going to be like a show or will it just be a couple repeating fireworks incorporated in the sky? Will the be enough light to light up the baseball diamond so we can play our yearly night game?

I can answer the ship question and yes they were viewable from ships. I forgot to take a few shots but I watched for a little while from the deck of my Gallon.
Was trying to find a better viewing angle so I was sailing around the island. They looked fairly good from sea.

We CAN view the fireworks from ship (see attachment)
We can also view them from other islands when not obstructed but look small of course. During test it was not shown simultaneously on all islands, i think first show was on Port Royal then Tortuga and Padres.

I was trying to figure out what amazing read between the lines generated this cant see them from the ships idea.. hehe..
Glad that you CAN see them from ships.. seemed to me to be hard to not allow the ships to see them.

1. HOW DO U GET ON THE TEST SERVER and one statement All war ship owners meet me at port royal docks and dont drop anchor but dance till you drop on andaba ocean All light and regular owners can come to Ps its at 6:15 the latest PPS Try to bring a full ship and tell everyone to dance dance dance and talk and talk and talk and parta parta parta!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS My ship name is Renegade Warrior and my name is Captain Viren Trust me, im a loud one You'll definetly see or hear me Also i'll try to bring a full ship and... LETS MAKE OUR OWN FIREWORKS!!!!!! To make ur own fireworks: 1 aim ship cannons and broadsides toward island(dont matter which side) 2 make sure thunder bolt fury and fire brand are full 3 Fire fire brands and fury to start it off 4 Now time for thunder bolts 5 while some ships continue firing fire and fury you fire thunder at the shores It is an amazzing glitch but a thunder bolt will strike the shore!!!!!!!!!!!! 6 then fire at the fire works in the sky using your own Also have some one fire a fire brand and someone else fire fury and fire at the same place it'll look sick!!!! Trust me i've done it for practice=) he he he |
