What is the "Players" list?

Ok, I saw this on test, it came with no explanation.

I see it now on open, still no explanation.

They removed the quite useful crewlist, and replaced it with this "Players" list.

I have yet to see it serve any purpose whatsoever.

Can someone enlighten me?

My best guess, and it's only a guess, is that it will eventually be used to display the xD friends list since they currently don't show up on the regular friends list any more.

Whatever "it" is....it currently serves no purpose whatsoever from what I've seen.

I think it will be used for this too. But how many actually have enuf DXD friends to make this button worth it. I want the old crew button back.

Another thing is what is with the "Online" button just above the list. You can push it but it doesn't do anything.

My theory, is that it is supposed to show all players nearby, on-compass. As of today, it still does nothing.

IDK why they renamed the "Friends" button to "Pirates." The short-cut key is still "F"...makes more sense to call them "friends" to me.

It will be for DxD friends, remember on the old layout? Show players?

What would be the purpose of showing DxD friends? I guess I might know if I had some there, but I thought the point of that was linking other Disney stuff more so.

I agree on the renaming from Friends to Pirates doesn't make sense. Of course they are pirates, what else would they be?
Showing nearby pirates from the compass though that is an interesting idea.

I too think it will show your DxD frineds. Keep in mind that if you do the DxD and have friends there, you may not have them on your Pirate Friends list for inside the game. This would be a way to keep up with them in the game, crewing and chatting, etc.

Maybe I'm just out of the loop, but do a lot of people even use the DxD friend thing? I know I personally don't...

At this time it still does nothing, just like the code button on all the items list you own. Speculation, is all that can probably be done with these with no announcements.

There's a link on the POTCO site called "Player's Page". It takes you to DXD so there's a possibility this "Player List" may have something to do with DXD.

Well a list of DxD players in the game is a waste of space for me.
Eliminating the crew list for a DxD list to me is like buying $1 bills, for $20.

Gotta love how they dont give us what we want, and keep wasting our time with what they think we want (you'd think what we ask for is what we want.. wouldnt you?)

But you need to remember that the crew list wasn't exactly eliminated.
Now when you start or join a crew you'll see all the crew stats to the left of the screen. If you click on a pirates name you can see their details.

I have to agree with you though. If this player list has anything to do with DXD it's a waste of time. I'm just trying to make an educated guess. I certainly hope this has to do with something in-game and not DXD.
