Kraken?

I was on POTC couple of days ago. One of my firends mentioned there was now a kraken battle, as in boss battle and had taken part in one.
Is this the case have I missed something, or need to reach certain weapon level or Notoriety? Or was this a rumour spread and a case of chinese whispers?

There is part of a video and some screenshots that they made to tease us with. And they made BIG hints back in March that it was coming... but the critter never appeared - yet.

AND on a side note, look at the front sails of that frigate, it has 3!!!! ok bring us ship customazation or atleast NEW ships if its right there, MAKE IT HAPPEN

There is a thread on another site ref. 'The Kraken' and pictures of the actual battle (Kat Bluerat actually took part in battling the Kraken)


As the Kraken appears, Kat levels her cannon, takes aim, as she prepares
to blast away at this massive Beast



The Kraken makes his massive size known as he produces more of his huge tenticles.



The green puff cloud is blood emitted from the Kraken as it is wounded from Kats
bombardment of cannon fire.



Kat seems to have lost this battle as the Mighty Kraken grabs her body and shakes the living
daylights out of Her and then slams her on the deck.



This seemingly grey puff cloud is Kat being slammed on the deck by this nasty beast!



I'd like to see if what they bring out soon is any bearing on what they were playing with 4 years ago.
And many thanks to Kat Bluerat for sharing her pictures with the Founders Association.

Why not just use Thunderbolt to electrocute the thing?
Notice it's daylight right now. We'll see later on.

That'll leave a mark.

That island in the background looks like ravens cove so maybe just maybe it is pirates.

Remember, AI is the hardest part of the game, and the Kraken is probably the hardest AI the developers have ever worked on. It's going to take some time.

There was that green waters thing that happened but no Kraken came out of it...so we sit here and wait. I'm guessing theres going to be a new chapter on the Kraken. Hopefully they're working on it & release it before December...

Yes I kinda suspected there wasn't a kraken fight just yet, but really wanted to be wrong! Seeing as there has been no updates as of late. Anway those pics ^^ look amazing and yes the frigate with 3 sails?
