Do you care if the "report" is proffesional?
Do you guys care about a couple grammer mistakes in our fun little report if you can still read it? So really, please vote and tell us what you think, not for us as much as the "future sake" of the report.

Before I say anything else, let me just say that I think you're very creative, and that your report is an awesome idea, with a lot of potential.
Here's my personal opinion... If you want to be the Number 1 report as your signature says (whether its intended to be just for fun or not) and want your readers to really respect the thoughts and opinions in your articles, then it would be a good idea to correct any mistakes you can find before you post the report. Yes, we all make mistakes, and even if you correct all of the mistakes you can find before posting, there may still be a few you don't notice until after posting. That's OK. But, if you don't correct the more obvious ones, then people will assume that you put as much thought and effort into gaining the info you post about as you do in compiling it into a report, and they wont have as much respect for what you are saying, and may not be as inclined to read it then. Its great that you have more than one person involved in putting it together, because each will have their own area of expertise. One might be more skilled in the art work and layout of the report, one might be an interesting writer, but doesn't spell well, and one might easily spot spelling and grammar mistakes, but couldnt write an interesting article to save their life, etc. That's a good thing, becuase when you use the talents of each to your advantage, then you end up with a better product overall. All that said, Im an adult, and probably a bit of a perfectionist. If your report is intended for kids, then it wont matter as much. Younger kids are more forgiving and apt to read and believe what you say, regardless of mistakes they see in what you're saying. But, if you want an audience of all ages, then it would be a good idea to take the extra time to make the report as mistake free as possible before posting it. Again, I think your report is a great idea, and I have a lot of respect for the fact that you have the talent and motivation to put it together. Keep it up! ![]() Edited: To say that I didnt vote.

Score 2 to "don't worry about it." Can you read this? I raed soemtihng taht cmae form a colelge syanig taht the hmuan barin reocginzes and raeds wrods jsut form the frist and lsat letetrs. (Go through it about 2 times just to make sure.) I say don't worry about it. I wouldn't worry about 3 teensy little mistakes. EDIT: Score 1 for "It should but I don't care."

O.o
It was? I think you might've been speaking some foriegn language then cause I was getting that I needed to check it to make it absolutely perfect. Sorry Allure, I don't even think I could get acceptance for my apology if I even tried to give it to you, but sorry anyways. Course, I still wanna see where this poll goes ^^

I looked at your newsletter again SB and have to say that I was very impressed.
I didn't agree with your opinion on everything, but the articles were interesting to read, anyway. The layout looks GREAT, and you have a knack for engaging the reader (gettting and keeping their attention). At first I just glanced through it and, like I said, it looked great. I then went back to the top and read the first article. I actually only saw 2 mistakes (if there was a third one, I missed it somewhere). Unfortunately, they were both in the very first article. If that had been my first time reading your newsletter, I might not have read any further. Not because there were mistakes, but because I would have thought (subconsciously) that if you didnt take the time to correct them, that you probably didnt take the time to evaluate what you were talking about enough, or have the experience, to be able to offer a strong, credible opinion. However, I was impressed enough with the layout and features (Pirate Soduku... cool!), that I might have continued reading anyway. I really hope you dont think I just want to be critical (Keep in mind that I'm an adult, a bit of a perfectionist, and perhaps a little more critical than the average reader). But, if I wasn't impressed with your talent and creativity, and didn't think you had the desire and potential to really do something with them, then I wouldn't even have replied. That's exactly why I replied - because I think you have a tremendous amount of of potential and would like to see you go somewhere with it. Perhaps one day you could be writning newsletters for Disney. Like I said before, keep it up!

I think I see where you're going with them all being in the first article, but according to Allure, there was only one in that one (not including the one we can't find).
PS: Did you know you ran the tPr SB, I thought I did. ^^

One of the first rules of thumb in communication is to make sure you adress people with the correct name. My post was intended for Jack. But, the mistake probably makes my point- There will be some now who wont be as likely to trust and want to hear what I have to say, and all because I wasn't careful enough to look for and correct the mistake...Quote:

Good luck to all of you. I look forward to reading the next newsletter!

Thanks Plunderin Mom, one reason that I decided to be a editor is that I am more...relaxed and not so "OMG I got 5 more days to get this in to the Report!".
Now I only have to worry if someone else gets it in on time. EDIT: and I am better at punctuation than some other people here...lol

I'd like it better if it were in a different font. I find the current font to be a little hard to read. Maybe it's because they're all basically upper-case letters, just some are a little smaller than others.
Then again, I'm an old guy, maybe I just need reading glasses.
