A Letter from Carlos Columbus

Hello, my friends,

It has been not very long since we have last met. I am fond of the very brief memories we shared on our minor adventure in the Caribbean - the sandy white beaches, the dark, dense jungles, and of course, the murky waters of the swamps of Tortuga. Unfortunately the latter was mired by a sort of discrepancy between our sides, but nevertheless I still find it as a very defining moment in our relationship.

In the time we have spent apart I have managed to burn as many traces in between us as possible. This was not done out of fear, but simple caution - knowing how highly your Guildmaster regards the powers of the Headstone, it is very likely at this moment there a crews of pirates scanning every tavern and inn for just a snippet of information concerning my whereabouts. I have not fled from your presence because I fear your power, I simply am taking a security against my own life.

I now write to you this letter from an undisclosed location still within the boundaries of our fair Caribbean. The oil lantern sitting on my desk is flickering with an odd persistence, and the quill I hold in my hand is ever so graceful as it glides along the parchment. I sit in the palms of protective hands, finding solace in allies that you may consider your enemies. I associate with them because they and I both have found common interest in use of the Headstone - that, and the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Who these men and women are will, for now, remain disclosed.



Regardless, I am sure that despite my lack of presence in a physical form, you have felt my presence in another matter. The Headstone has equipped me with very keen, shark powers which enable me to control the tides, the winds - and even the will of men themselves. With this staff in my hands I am able to mend the shape of men in my hands, casting a foul spell over the Caribbean.

Unfortunately, my power will soon fade. It will reach it's peak on Hallow's Eve, and then after the Headstone's current powers will fade - making way for new, undiscovered voodoo magic to take it's place. And although my efforts have been valiant, I will be the very first to admit that you pirates have done a fair job in excellently repelling my spells. I feel that the entirity of my skills are being wasted as I sit here and conjure curses for you to play with - I grow bored.

So I have taken the liberty of placing myself in a place where we may converge. At the closure and shipment of this letter I will be making my way to Port Royal, where I intend to stay until the night of Friday, October 28th. It is on this evening I will bring myself out in to public eyes, for you all to see - it is in my hopes that we may discuss the terms of our relationship, and then we may commence in a true battle.

Why: To discuss the terms of Carlos's and the Headstone's involvment in the War for the Caribbean

Aww I was there before it began but I still missed it
a glitch caused my server to crash when I teleported to Lady Nayana since the server she was on didn't exist to me and couldn't get back on again so I gave up
