Solo Boss Battle?
I stopped playing POTCO a while ago, and the boss battle had been down when I stopped playing. But now that I'm on summer vacation I've decided to start playing again.
Here are my stats: Not: 31 Cutlass: 15 Dagger: 15 Pistol: 15 Doll: 15 Staff: 12 Grenade: 10 Sailing: Mastered (W/ Rank 1 Take Cover) Cannon: 21 I was wondering what do you have to do for the boss? I've only tried it once, and it was just to see what I had to do, so I let them kill me. Would it be possible to beat the boss battle with those stats? Also, what specifically do you have to do? Thanks |

its very possible oly if you have a good crew. There is no way you can solo the boss battle.. you would just crumbl to pieces if you tried it.

I can and did finish the soldiers alone. In fact using my doll many of them are yellow to me now (I level 36 with Mastered doll. I used Life drain a few times getting them and I think one tonic)
I can and did finish the 4 ships with most of my ship health in tact. I have 175 fire cannons and used moer than half of them to do it. Its the bridges that get me. I cant steer worth beans yet to avoid their fire at me and you cant shoot lightning and steer at the same time either. Last night with a crew of three we made it to through the second bridge before we sank. Everyone tells me they made it muh harder so when someone says they did it alone. Ask them if it was recent? Even my friends who have finished it multiple times cant pass it right now very easy. |

I know some solo'ed the BB before the update. I would think it next to impossible now. If someone does solo it now, they should get a Pirate Master of Masters icon over their head, lol.

I do it with lots of different friends and My second solo attempt was a freind and me and he died before he got one soldier. So I contiuned to see how far I could get. Now I think we can do over anyway with new update. Im going to practice until I master alone. Currently I can get to the third set of bridges with out dieing. Im now level 40 too. |

Step 1: Get a crew together. (Unsure you can solo with a repeat, since the max # of players you can set it for is 2.) Step 2: Open your sea chest and go to lookouts. (L will open Lookouts) Step 3: Go to Treasure maps. Step 4: Find "Recover The Black Pearl!" Step 4 1/2: (optional) Click the button beside the boss battle, and select min/max # of players.Step 5: Click Recover the Black Pearl, and wait to be teleported to the treasure map.

Doing the Boss Battle Solo
One of my fully mastered pirates has the BB ready to go, but I don't want to complete it for zero rep.
I have taken him out solo a total of 11 times. ( If I'm bored, it's something fun to do.) My rule has been, if he makes it past the last (fourth) bridge, with at least high red health, it's a win. Then I let the Goliath sink me, so that I don't finish the BB. Out of 11 attempts, I have 'won' the BB 6 times. 5 times, I have sunk at the last bridge. Here is how I do it. Board the Pearl. Staff at the ready, wither, wither, wither. Tonic when your health is low in the red. Wither, wither, wither. If health gets to the red again, quick switch to doll and life drain. Back to staff and wither until the Navy soldiers are gone. Now, go to the aft starboard cannon, the captains gun, and load Fury. Take the wheel and start moving straight toward the bridges. Don't sail all the way to them. Stay back as far as possible to get the ships to come to you. When the cutscene is over and the ships are on their way in, go to the aft starboard cannon. Sink the rear ship first, then the front ship. The two ships on port side will not fire at you while you do this. Use Fury on the first ship, then switch to Thunder for the second. Move to the port side DECK gun and use iron shot to sink the two ships there. Don't try to use the Captains gun here, it can't hit the front ship. They will not fire back, cause you are solo. When the fourth ships sinks, reload Fury before you go back to the wheel. Turn the ship to the left, hit take cover, count to three, hit open fire, then fire one broadside. Run to the rear star cannon and take out the LEFT bridge first. Then the RIGHT bridge. Save the center for last, it doesn't have cannons. When the first bridge is gone, reload Thunder. Back to the wheel, wait til all your skills have recharged. Sail through the RIGHT side gap, turn hard left and repeat the above for the second bridge set. Take cover and open fire before going to the cannon. Left bridge first, then right. From bridge to bridge, alternate between Fury and Thunder. Try to keep at least a few of each for the Goliath. Usually, by now, I'm still pretty well in the green health wise. Wait for everything to recharge, and repeat the entire thing on the third bridge set. Again, LEFT bridge first. If one of the bridges doesn't fire back at you, (Sometimes this happens) make sure to switch to iron shot, don't waste your high power shot on a bridge that isn't shooting back at you. Now, the last bridge set is the hard one. After the third bridge, I am usually in the yellow health, hopefully high in the yellow. (Only once did I get past ALL the bridges and still be in the green.) For the last bridge set, I do the same thing as the previous ones, but I shoot the RIGHT hillside first. It seems to be the one that does the most damage, so destroy it first. Don't forget to use your take cover and open fire before going to the cannon. If you get the last bridge down and don't sink, technically it's a win. If you have yellow or high red health, you can run in the front of Goliath and slug it out from a distance. If you have very low red health, come out of the river, turn hard right, use ramming speed and full sail, and run far out into the ocean, and you will out run the Goliath till they give up. Either way, you win. I don't do either of these, because I want my BB to still be there, so I let the Goliath sink me. One caution, When you sink the four ships, if the wheel won't let you grab it, back away and try again. I have noticed that sometimes you don't get the green circle. If you don't get ahold of the wheel fast, just let the bridges sink you. You won't have a chance anyway. No sense wasting time.

Yeah the BB is way harder than the original. But as Wheelsim it is easier with a good crew behind. Say 4 or 5 people are plenty.

I made it to the third set of bridges solo, pre-update.
I had a razor-thin sliver of red in the health bar, and lasted long enough to think to myself "Oh look, that bridge is shooting at me". I haven't hit the final stage of the quest with my current pirate, so haven't tried it post-update yet. |

Ok so I'm familiar with the people you have to beat on the ship, I'm sure with a little luck and some more training I could solo that part.
The four ships part, what do you have to do for that? And same question again with the bridges, what are they? |

Basic synapsis of boss battle. Cutscene - 2 navy guys argue Deck of Black Pearl - Fight multiple high level officers for control of pearl Take control of Pearl and start to sail. Cutscene - 4 frigates surround pearl All participants forced to cannons to sink the 4 frigates. Sail pearl towards first set of bridges. First set has two bridges, created by, 3 main structures (left, right, middle). If you do not take them all out, they will continue to fire at you after you pass them. Sail past defeated first bridges, to immediately approach 2nd bridge, take out both sides/structures to pass. Sail past 2nd bridge, take out 3rd bridge, same as 2nd. Sail past 3rd bridge, take out 4th/final bridge similarly. Sail past last bridge. Cutscene - Pearl gets to harbor, and meets Goliath. Defeat Goliath - 18 gun war frigate Congratulations! Bridges tend to use firebrand and will damage you quickly if you in turn dont take them out quickly. You cannot attack a bridge effectively until having passed the previous one (it wont attack you until then either). |

Isnt that the smaller the group the easier the BB is? Well i mean u kinda need 4 in order to take both sides but thats wha people have told me.

I've heard lots of theories, but I dont think having more crew will make it harder. Now if you have a full crew, and they arent adequately armed/skilled, thats another story. |
