As for slowing things down so there is more time in game before hitting a wall, it has had to go actually opposite of that. I tested it out to much, and leveling a character has increased if anything.
We lost hex shot = traditional way of grinding. To receive some bosses that can be used to the same old tradition, and even easier to work all skills at once, versus the couple before. A couple things like kings fence glitch back, super charge grenade and staff to like 17, everything has actually gone to a fast track in leveling, if one wished to do so. If another weapon class is added, what is that going to do? 40's on a slow track maybe working one or two skills at once. New characters, 700-750 points per kill with no crew bonus. A even bigger acceleration in leveling. The hold back would be something like this not unlocking until level 40 so combo fighting couldn't be used, or very little before other things mastered and out of the picture. Combo fighting will pick up by many, even if they like to go at a slower pace, cause I just can't see things like grenades, kill three, go get more, kill three etc. not taking its toll if it isn't done simultaneous to other skill leveling. Many questions to what will happen if level cap is raised. 1) Will we get the previous lost rep from weapons being locked out at 40. Such as 42 notoriety and how it use to be listed on xd site? 2) How many new skills, if any? 3)How much higher in notoriety? 4)What would be the break down of possible rep with weapon skills and new chapter quest type rep. 5) What would the fast track increase be. (not done previous quests, tattoo, clothes, weapon upgrades, combo fighting) Right now they have a solo player will out do any crew by far if they know what they are doing in leveling. This is where I think they are most hung up. The only perk to crew, is the bonus if they stay out of your way and what you are working, in a leveling aspect to the game. At level 30 on up, I agree it basically comes down to only weapon leveling for the most part, this area needs a boost. Advanced weapons effects are likely to be learned by many if they don't straighten them out, and become obsolete, until mastered. The effects of these upgrades would be one of the first things I would personally list on a guild site on a leveling guide. A boost to these in some manner is most needed, it shouldn't be a handicap the better weapon you get, unless you just do pvp. |

Thanks so much for expressing my exact sentiments. Here is it now March all they did was redesign Tortuga and Port Royal, when really we just wanted ADDITIONAL islands, challenges, clothes, and the for the bugs to be fixed.
You are a gem. LizzyPirate sigh.... |
