Exciting New Challenges September 01, 2009

Log in now and experience these great new features just added to the game:

• • Notoriety Level Cap increased to 50. Pirates can level up further and will gain more experience when defeating enemies.
  • Weapon Reputation Level increased to 30. Mastered that cutlass? You'll want to re-sharpen that sword.
  • New cave environments filled with new higher level enemies! Face evil Thrall Captain's in Cursed Caverns on Isla Tormenta, Navy Marines in Thieves' Den on Tortuga and much more.
  • Ship speed improvements! Ships now sail faster and longer loose speed when turning.
    

All this plus other improvements and bug fixes - experience the adventure now!

I will say the Sailing is awesome!! I love it. Tormenta is Deadly but beautiful & All my guildies & friends that are Noto 40 are like little kids on Christmas Morning & That is the Best part!!!

It is fun, Eliza...lolz My level 40 took another pirate to Menta & ended up surrounded by red levels...fought a couple, but thank goodness for tp! Nice rep though...which is really the strangest part...

Ahoy Mates... many pirates are still having issues with the compass... in case this has not been addressed in another post please allow me to reiterate..

To have your compass consistently follow your path follow this action as it alluded to in the update.....
You can modify the compass behavior for land and sea on the Interface Options tab in the Game Options Menu. Check both boxes for land and sea behavior..
Your compass will operate as it once did prior to the update.
Hope you all are enjoying the advancements as am I... I am sure there is much more to come.

Yes, the compass options had been discussed (and was mentioned in the Release Notes). Here's a screenshot of the options.



(And yes, I love the stationary compass when on land, especially in the caves.)

I must admit - I'm kinda liking the Land Stationary compass and the Moving Ocean Compass... its a step beyond that we now get the option (so we can all have it the way we want )

since we got to kill higher level stuff now to upgrade weapons further which means more gold.. ooop looks like the gold cap didnt get raised. so whats the point of fighting higher level guys when gold is maxed out??

You could always spend that gold on resetting weapons, then build it up for when the cap is raised (gold cap)

they say new thrall captains and more. the thrall is the only new thing mate. marines are old losers who cant move an inch to us high lvlers
