Signs of Addiction
I must be addicted to this game. I've recorded all the music I can find in the game (except the potion music - I can't stand it.) When I'm not online, I set the music up to play so I can listen to it while doing other things ... such as now.
Come to think of it, it's not just the potion music I can't stand. The sailing music just played. That was good at first, sounding majestic and inspiring, but now the blaring trumpets are just annoying. After mastering sailing and cannon and then doing materials runs to boost my rep and get stuff to upgrade my ships, I've overdosed on it. Could use a little varietly. Maybe a softer, kinder music for when you're not in a battle, just sailing. Crimson Rose |

Congrats on getting all that music!
Maybe you should make them into mp3 files and post them in the audio/video forum for the rest of us to enjoy. |

I love the music they play during fishing, but I have to admit, I turned the music off. Sound only.

lol whatever rocks your boat is a good thing. I personally like that Tormenta Beach/ Invasion music. Use to play in the old Cursed Caverns. I'm going to let POTCO know I want it back in there. That one is so darn addicting to battle with.

The best music was always the old sailing music... I could rant about how good it is but there's a whole thread about it.

I can agree with that. One of the main reasons I defend against invasions is to hear that music. When I got to Isla Tormenta - frequently - I always stop to knife a couple of the Dregs guards so I can hear that music play.
Thanks for reminding me. I have not recorded the fishing music. It is nice relaxing music, but I haven't heard it since I mastered fishing and moved on to other things. Crimson Rose |

Among other things, I write for a small local paper. I'm an afficitionado of classical music, which today includes some of the better sound track music. As such I've corresponded with and heard the music of a lot of young contemporary music composers, and I think I have a feel for modern sound track music.
I am quite impressed with a lot of the music included in POTCO. A lot of it is okay/nice. Some of it is really evocative, such as the daytime music for Raven's Cove or the Jolly Roger invasion music. It speaks directly to the emotions in me. I asked the moderators at POTCO who the composer(s) was/were, but they just said it was music taken from the Pirates films. (Incidentally, I think a name you will hear in the future is Denny Schneidemesser, a young composer from Germany. He is an absolute genius: he started writing only 3+ years ago, is completely self-taught, does not even play a musical instrument, and yet writes music you would swear was done by the big-name professionals. You can catch samples of his work at http://www.dennyschneidemesser.com/) Crimson Rose Last edited by Crazypirate; 03-21-2012 at 02:42 AM.. Reason: Personal Info |

Signs of Addiction:
Real Life is a game in wich you get one life, ( and your out of quaters), and you play games. Real life isn't Real life. You can swing fake swords better than you can fix food. You can name more pirate facts than things about yourself. ***You can't leave the game, because you think of the legendaries you are missing, and you start twitching and foaming at the mouth with rage. ( f this happens, consult a doctor...)*** You plan on taking a great career choice and switching to a bad career choice which involves prates. You try to buy real pirate equipment and sail. ___ All of these are me, except for the starred one. |
