Wink A Call to Arrrrrms!

As was expected, the summer months have really brought a bit of a lull to the game. But that's no reason for us to stop ourselves from moving forward. What this means to us as a guild is that now is the time for us to recruit. However, we are going to do this differently from most. We're not looking for unguilded higher levels; instead, what I would like for us to focus on are those players who are new to the game. Unlimited access members who might have just upgraded from basic access and could use a helpful guild to show them the way. I'm talking players below 10 notoriety. People who could use a helping hand in a quest, or leveling up a weapon, or even someone simply to point them in the right direction of one of those pesky, sometimes impossible to find dig spots in the game. I know that I certainly could have used this sort of help when I got started.

Basically, it's pointless to try and waste our time trying to bring in those higher levels, they're unguilded for a reason. Simply, some people simply prefer to solo the game. But then, with these new players who are joining up every day, maybe they don't quite understand what the concept of a guild is just yet. Beyond the helpful tips and and ever ready crew, we can show them just how fun being part of a hilarious, oftentimes crazy, talkative, friendly, highly interactive guild can be.

Keep in mind that there is no player that is too low of a notoriety, no player too inexperienced. We were all the same as them when we started, only we had the benefit of the Blades to guide us along the way, to advise us where and where not to spend those precious skill points, who told us the quickest way to strengthen our pirates, and the quickest way to amass a large amount of gold.

Part of the reason for this push for new members in the guild is also ship PVP that is just on the horizon. We want our fleet to be strong, skilled, and experienced. Another reason why our plundering nights are so important and why everyone should try their best to attend. As of today, we sit at 41 members, which is a strong and steady progression since the guild was founded in February. And despite this push for new recruits, this does not mean that we have changed our stance towards quality over quantity. As we welcome new members to our ranks we are also heightening the strength of the guild as we groom these new additions to our ranks to be tough and tenacious pirates, just as the Blades have helped us all to become.

In closing, keep a weathered eye towards the horizon, the guild is always on the lookout for new members, regardless of notoriety or experience. A great pirate is not born, but developed through hard work and help and guidance from a great guild. And who is to say that such a guild shouldn't be us? This is a call to arms for all Blades to help us continue to grow. We're counting on all of our members to help out on this one.
