Public Ships Question

I wish I could figure out what truly causes ships to be stuck. In some cases, there's usually a pirate who seems to be stuck/frozen in such a severe way that for some reason the ship gets frozen if it sinks or something.

There used to be a bug that came about twice in POTCO's history (Back in '07/'08 and more recently in maybe 2010 or 2011) where if you shot specifically firebrand at a flagship that had a pirate crew on it, the flagship would automatically sink and the crew - and the ship - would be stuck. I don't know why it was firebrand, and I don't know why this bug occured twice, but it seems ships being stuck at sea has always been a problem on POTCO.

I much preferred having my ship sink after an hour at sea.
