The Dolls Guild Welcome Page! (Please Read First)
The Dolls Guild Welcome Page! Mission Statement And Guild Objectives Note: As we are moving in to our new home from our old one - it will be a few days before we get all the 'furniture' in... fell free to take a look around the new place and see what you think Some notes, posts, and images will need to be updated as we move in ![]() For all members of The Dolls Guild to have a sense of belonging; a collective harmony of players who strive together towards the common goal of having fun, with the focus to better one's self and the other members through sharing, caring and assisting whenevever possible. This statement of our Mission along with the following Pirtes 'Code Of Conduct' is a dynamic work, which can and must evolve over time. As time passes the Mission and the Codes of Conduct will change to reflect the needs of the players and the guild. FUN: First and foremost, this is a game which we all play for the purpose of enjoyment - both paying and free accounts alike. If people are not having fun in this guild then it has lost its focus for existing. However, to have fun there must be a sense of fair play and order which ALL members must respect. VIRTUE: Members should always conduct and display a high level of character, no matter what age or type of account. Members should act in such a way that other guilds and pirates look at them as inspirations on how to conduct themselves and treat others. LOYALTY: A guild which doesn't fulfill the needs of its members cannot hope to keep them. A guild is nothing without its members; at the same time, the members have a responsibility to the guild. Those who cannot fulfill such a responsibility cannot be considered loyal. Welcome to all Pirates Of The Caribbean Online Players (POTCO) and The Dolls Guild Members! General players who are just visiting us and reading this information should feel free to review the information, and not only assess their playing style within the world of POTCO but should they be building a Guild, belong to a Guild or even may be thinking about joining our Guild - understand what it takes to be a part of and run a collective group of players. Current Guild Members should review the rules and keep them close to their chest, as they will not only guide you through the POTCO experience but do so with a much more positive outlook - knowing that the beliefs of this Guild, its Founders and Masters, Officers and even other Members are the same as yours. Why must our Guild have a Code of Conduct? Why must our Guild have and follow Rules when other Guilds may not? Actually, all groups of people have Codes of Conduct and Rules they follow - they are just unspoken - like saying 'Hello' when meeting another Pirate or helping another Pirate with a Quest - but when groups become larger and mixed with players of different ages, skill levels, maturity and background experiences, game goals and even registered versus free accounts - the ideals within a single group or Guild can be tested and even broken as the 'unspoken' no longer applies to everyone, and now a Code of Conduct and Rule must be said so everyone knows without question, without doubt, providing the fun game experience we all expect. Even famous Pirates lived by Codes of Conduct (Parlay anyone?) and though many think pirates were a lawless bunch, the Codes they lived by alone kept order from chaos (or in some cases from Munity)! Of course pirates are an individual bunch, and may wish not to join the Guild or leave, and this is acceptable from a friendly standpoint and we wish them well on their travels. Sometimes a pirate may become lawless and break the code and though in real times they would be judged and maybe even executed, in our case we unfortunately may have to release them. It is the code which keeps pirates from becoming thieves, and gives respect to the individual and the group - even viewed through an enemy's eye. To proceed to the Code of Conduct please Click Here and the Code of Conduct Page will open. Last edited by Maximvs; 09-05-2008 at 07:46 PM.. |
