Look there is a simple way to look at it and it is
IF YOU HAVE LESS EXPERIENCE AND NEED THE FIREPOWER AND SPEED AND LIFE OF A FRIGATE THEN GO FOR IT... BUT... IF YOU ARE A GOOD PIRATE AND AN EXPERIENCED SAILOR YOU COLD USE A WAR GALLEON AND STILL NOT SINK. THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS SVS WERE GALLEONS ARE JUST MOBILE-FARMS. lol hope that helped
