I agree with Skirata. Except I think these things need to be discussed outside of the game. First off the Filtering system is going to make real discussions difficult as they filter the silliest of stuff sometimes (oh who am i kidding, a lot of times). Also it is not always possible for every representative to be present at the meetings due to real life issues.

As soon as events were mentioned we had certain people getting really defensive and talking about cheating etc. While this is a valid concern, it is one that can be worked out if we lay out a lot of options and then work through them until a solution is found. Almost every option layed out was met with negativity from some source or another before it was even given a chance. How do we know that randomly assigning ppl to different ships isn't going to keep anyone from cheating? We haven't tried it yet. Once we do and if we find it doesn't work, then we try something else.

I do realize that some guilds that have joined this have a history of animosity and distrust. If those guilds have joined this court as a means to get at each other and continue that animosity they maybe need to just sit out. Because it sounds to me this was meant to be a guild bonding experience. I also believe that if guilds find they just cannot work together and have fun with this in the lighthearted manner it is meant to be experienced, they should back out and not ruin the fun for everyone else. If the problems stem from individual pirates, well the guild they belong to should be held accountable for their actions.

There are a lot of solutions that could be had for many of the concerns that will come up in the court. We need to try these solutions out and have patience with it until the right one is found. We don't need a bunch of ppl shouting right off that "that's not going to work" until we actually do discover that Hey, that didn't work.
