I sent in a bug report, and they say they're working on it.
My friends and I try to always go to the same ocean, to make it easier to get things done. If it's been quiet, sometimes ships they I damaged a couple of hours before are still there when I get back. Like Plunderin' Mom, I also sometimes get so busy with chat, etc after I get on, I forget, so the feature is nice because it reminds you as you're logging in to think about what ocean you want to be in. That said, I, too, would MUCH rather they fix the Boss Battle first!!!
