Again - keep in mind that we are between films 1 and 2 and there is a gap in time there. I would even argue that as Barbossa is still alive but his status of being cursed or brought back to life is in question. William Turner and Elizabeth are still in thier starting places in Film one but Elizabeth's father is missing.

So I would say after the first Film and before the wedding at the start of film 2. Jack is around but Commodor Norington is not. He may have been discraced by now due to his failure to catch Jack Sparrow and the loss of his ship. Jack and Gibbs are on Tortuga. This could account for our first storyline to fetch back the Black Pearl. Perhaps it was seized at some point after he escaped Norrington.

All conjecture of couse but the game doesn't have to follow the Movies exactly it just takes place within the POTCO world.

Aye Roger, several things were mentioned out of those meetings and I have to say the Shore battery defenses sounded really cool. Whether they would be used against invasions as we have them or against an invasion of ships or somthing else entirely willl have to be seen.
