When boarding - can you stay on ship?

We sink flagships routinely, usually several a run, and I cant count the number of times this has happened to us.

It seems to happen more if people are TPing to the ship rather than boarding from the dingy. But, it doesnt seem to matter who teleported. They may or may not be the one who gets left on our ship. And with the next ship it may or may not be somebody else. We use it to our advantage when boarding higher level flagships, and like the others who already posted, use the cannons to take out the higher level enemies. If there isnt a need for it (if the crew on the enemy ship isnt in any danger) we dont fire, and let them have their fun.

Note: If you do get left, you will not be able to move. To remedy this, draw a weapon, either using one of the F keys or by hitting the control button. You should then be able to move.
