Lightbulb Building the Perfect Gunner

Let's say you have the opportunity to re-do your canon skills. How would you build your gunner, knowing what you know now? I'm somewhat new to the game myself, but here's my theory so far:

5 Round Shot - Whether we like it or not, the special ammo types run out eventually. Also good for mowing down ships not worth burning thunderbolts on or for long distance work when the probability of hitting a target isn't the highest and you'd rather not waste good ammo.

5 Barrage - +25% damage to all shot types (and even grenades) seems like a great deal to me.

5 Rapid Reload - 30% faster reload translates to more damage over time. Good deal.

5 Thunderbolt

5 Fury

The only thing really bugging me about these choices is the lack of the "shoot" skill. I put a few points into shoot with a previous character and liked the effect. The higher rate of fire seemed to translate into increased accuracy, and, because the delay between shots is reduced, a slightly faster reload time. Keeping in mind that each shot resets the reload timer. Doesn't help thunderbolt, though. I may siphon a few points out of other areas to put a few here just for personal preference.

Any suggestions, criticisms, or other advice would be appreciated.
