What was your reasoning behiend naming your first pirate?

[Kat Five Knives]

I was a toon-towner for years and had ( have ) a 115 toon named Queen Clover, which I selected from the auto name feature. It was after I had played for a while that I realized I could have typed a unique name in to be a bit more creative.

So when I decided to 'try' pirates in 2008 I recognized the similar nature of the two programs - either choose a standard name or create something unique. Well of course I knew I wanted something unique.

Obviously I like cats ( just look at most of my pirate names) so I decided I wanted Kat. But also wanted something a little piratey. I looked around my room and my eyes fell on the Category Five cable ( AKA cat 5 ) near my computer.

It just came to me.. Kat Five Knives is the marriage of my affinity for felines, computers, and pirates.
