As for the shortened swords comment. When the new swords came out there were new weapon abilities.

I will suspect that there will be NEW dagger abilities as well as dagger versions of other weapon special abilities.

ALSO - food for thought. I was watching my son play on Kingshead where the dust cloud is. Remember what they said about the NEW island? Shrouded in fog...

The new island will have the same dirty air or foggy appearance to make it harder to see and to help hide the enemies. I will gladly stake my gold pouch on that.
