I don't believe that the "summoning" is a new mini game, Luke. It's probably "a one time thing that you do for the quest", which alone is unique and thus cool. It will also, as you said, play a part in the Next Big Story Chapter, whenever it released. See, things like these make questing fun. I wouldn't want to do a ghost gatherin' mini game o'er and o'er again!
