Hmm, I have to disagree Dark, Clap O' Thunder requires 2 Alligator, Crab and Scorpian Essences. I find that Growin Grog is a very easy potion to make and gives 95 rep.
Also, how can you hate potions! Potions to me are by far the most fun thing to do.  They were the first thing I mastered on Jack
