Cars Online Closing?

I just got this email from Disney today. o_o (i'm not much of a player or fan... but it's still a little shocking)

Dear Race Fan,

Thank you for playing in the online world and being part of the Cars Community. The World of Cars Online will be closing on February 8, 2012.

ALL players can log into the online world and enjoy unlimited access for free through February 8, 2012.

Here's what you need to know:
Memberships are no longer available for purchase.
Emails will be sent to all current paid Members with details about Membership including refund options.
Promotional codes can be redeemed until the world closes on February 8, 2012.
Players that own Cars 2: The Video Game can link accounts and unlock rewards until February 8, 2012.

I wonder what will happen after it's gone. If they'll leave it like that, without any games coming in its place, or if they have one in the works (i mean.... there's always the possibility... )
