Sailing and security??

Hi all, new to this board, got my Beta and have been on for a week now. Sword play I have down okay, but how the heck do you sail the ship? I must have been sleeping during that class.

Also, what's up with this board? I heard it was run by Nick from the TTC board, which is very easily navigated, but this one is a bit more difficult. At first I was denied, becuase I didn't "meet requiremets"???, and now every post I go to read, it tells me I don't have access? What's up with that? I came here because a fellow toon from TTC told me about it and said it might be helpful.

I want to test out POTC just like the rest of ya'll I just am looking for some help to do so. If anyone has tips and tricks on sailing over to Tortuga, please post here or IM me.
