We found that you don't disconnect, until after you try shooting the grapplings. So if there would be some reason that you would want to disable a flag ship, then sail off (whistling innocently) as long as you don't shoot the grapplings, you are fine. And, yes I filed the bug reports, both on the disconnect.. and on the glitch.
