Upgrade to service pack 3 if you're on XP. This was a recurring issue with many before not being able to connect at all.

I'm guessing its might be some networking issue that is being "reconfigured" when you put this service pack on, and not necessarily the service pack itself being put on. However, if it is this, applying the service pack would be the 'easiest' way for most. |
